I am Christopher Bernard Thomas, the founder & managing member of Cable Broadband & Telecommunications, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Cable Broadband & Telecommunications was started in June 2005 to consult with and perform technological Integrations.
I served with the 7th Engineer Support Battalion during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. The military training I received along with the experiences I had in the Marine Corps, combined with formal education and private employment opportunities, are the foundations of my skill set. I have completed many low-voltage, vendor-neutral classes and have received many vendor-specific certifications. I also served as a CWA Job Steward with Local 3204 while working for Bellsouth Telecommunications and AT&T as a Digital Technician.
My education and experiences in the low-voltage industry have made it essential for me to provide quality services and products. With years of low-voltage experience, I became a Georgia Unrestricted Low-Voltage License holder, and a BICSI RCDD. My commitment to the low-voltage industry and its future evolution are solid. I have served as a student, expanding my knowledge base as a trainer; a mentor, sharing my knowledge with others; and as a subject matter expert consulting clients. I am adaptable, dedicated, dependable, and a valued member of the low-voltage community.

As a Business Development Director, I am responsible for overseeing the process of developing Fortune 1,000, mid-enterprise, and small business relationships throughout the US. As a product of my bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry and 19 years of technical business experience, I have identified a systemic disconnect in the relationship between vendors and clients. I possess a strong reliance on creating a spirit of partnership that provides an engrained ability to solve each client’s needs. My expertise is understanding the need and challenges while educating clients on the best outcome solutions. I am principally involved with all areas of our client relationship management which provides an in-depth knowledge of each client's infrastructure, network, and operational goals.
My technical career began in the US Navy aboard a US submarine as an electronics technician. Supporting mission-critical systems developed stringent attention to detail. After leaving the military, I continued my technical development with Motorola’s cellular infrastructure division. My business operations and leadership synchronised while managing a federally funded, state-administered contract with the Texas Health and Human Services as the VP of Operations.
I have held sales and leadership positions with Fortune 100 companies and as an entrepreneur. I apply my pillar philosophy of “valued relationships are created by understanding needs and the impact and deploying industry and technical best practices to create partnerships that align success”.
Outside of work, I am true to my Alabama roots and enjoy nature, fishing, and the overall outdoor life.
